What makes Dandy different

City-level depth

Not just country averages — real data for the cities you're interested in living in. What to expect, how you'd get around, and information on the best medical facilities, international schools, and local carriers.

Honest, sourced data

We cross-reference official sources, consulate records, and expat community knowledge — and we tell you exactly where the data comes from and when it was last verified.

Made for your life

Matched to your work situation, family, and motivations. With identity-aware content — because no two people's experience of a new country is exactly the same.

About Dandy

For everyone who's ever
wondered what life could be
somewhere else

Dandy was built in Queens, New York by two people who spent years working remotely across Europe, Latin America, and beyond, and came home each time a little more convinced that life abroad was worth taking seriously.

We've watched friends and family navigate this question from every angle. Some moved permanently and never looked back. Some went for a year and came home. Some are still researching, still weighing it, still not quite sure. What we noticed is that everyone was asking the same questions — and getting the same scattered, hard-to-trust answers.

Dandy exists because the research deserved better. Whether you're thinking about a short stint abroad to see how it feels, or you're ready to make a permanent move and need the details to get it right — this is the app we wished had existed when we started asking those questions ourselves.
